1. Museum of Folk Craft and Applied Arts
Pottery, wood-carving, rituals, traditions and customs, weaving are all displayed and shown in several halls. You can find more information at:

2. National museum of Folk Art and Traditional Handcrafts - Oreshak village
The 9 exhibition halls are the only ones in Bulgaria where pieces of folk art, crafted by craftsmen from every single ethnographic region of our country are displayed.
A lot of culture initiatives and celebrations are organized here all year round.

3. Every year during the last week of September a Bulgarian plum Festival is taking place in Troyan. It is accompanied by many competitions and contest, together with an entertaining programme.

Nature
Central Balkan national Park will reveal to you breathtaking scenery, rock formations and waterfalls, together with a lot of eco paths.
Not far away from the guest house you can find:
Complex Beklemeto - about 15 km away which offers walks and winter sports. The complex is 1320 meters above sea level and there are three ski tracks with total length of 2.5 km.
Kozya Stena Reserve is a real botanical heaven, where more than 40 rare sorts of plants grow. it is located west of Beklemeto and has a summer and winter tourist route, which lead to Kozya Stena Chalet also part of the reserve. You can reach the chalet in about 3 hours.
Steneto Reserve is located east of Beklemeto and has a really diverse terrain. Pticha Dupka (Bird`s hole) precipice and Raichova Dupka cave are also in its territory, as well as Dermenka Chalet which is part of the reserve and to which you can go on foot from Beklemeto in about 3 hours.
Churches and Monasteries
Thanks to our belief and strong spirit we preserved through the centuries as a nation. And here in Troyan the numerous churches and chapels attest to this.
Troyan Monastery - the third biggest monastery in Bulgaria with the miraculous icon - the Virgin Mary - the Three-Handed Virgin.

Sport and Liesure
Bashtinata stryaha guest house offers many opportunities for sport and entertainment. There are swings, a slide, a sandbox, trampoline and an inflatable bouncy for the children. The inflatable is offered after a pre-arrangement and comes at the cost of 20 BGN a day. It is suitable for children at the age of 3-8 years.
For adults we offer a tennis table.
You can cool yourselves down during the summer in our precast pool with a diameter of 3.60 meters and depth of 0.9 meters. There is a specified corner with lounge chairs, parasols and tables.
